Equinox, A Dance Between Worlds

After this Full Moon, marked by the eclipse that gifted the night its Blood Moon, we now move gently toward the Equinox—this mystical threshold that unfolds between March 20th and 23rd.

To our Tupuna—ancestors, the Equinox was a pivotal passage, a moment of transition. It was also a time to celebrate the harvest of the bountiful season of abundance.

They knew that beyond this date, the days would slowly begin to shorten, guiding us toward a season of retreat and introspection, our Tahitian winter that starts around May 20.

Symbolically, the Equinox is a moment of perfect balance between light and darkness.
A pause in the endless river of time — a suspended moment where the opposing forces of nature, day and night, meet in perfect harmony.
It is the very image of inner balance — a reminder that within every cycle, there are days bathed in light and nights wrapped in shadow, and that both are equally necessary, equally sacred.

The Equinox is also a threshold of transition, a doorway between two states of being: Darkness, the bearer of wisdom and deep reflection — and Light, the spark of expansion and creation.

Each Equinox invites us to return to the source, to recalibrate the balance of our inner world, to prepare for what is ready to emerge from within the deep soil of our personal cycles.

It is as if, with every Equinox, the Earth herself whispers to us:"Remember to cultivate balance within, so that you may move with grace through life's shifting tides."
A sacred space of transformation, a moment brimming with infinite possibility — an invitation to listen deeply to what the heart, the soul, and the world are longing to reveal.

Here in Tahiti, we will be honoring this sacred transition through a full day of liberating and expansive experiences — from a sunrise yoga journey by the sea, to a purifying bath in the healing waters of a natural spring, from moments of stillness to anchor our prayers and intentions into "tapa" — our sacred fabric made from the bark of our trees — to preparing offerings that will be carried to the "marae", our ancestral open-air temple, for a ceremony of deep connection, gratitude, and renewal.

In this shared space, between sky and sea, between earth and spirit, we gather to remember — to remember who we are, to honor the cycles that move within us and around us, and to step into the new season with open hearts and grounded souls.
